Sean Dyche is in advanced talks with Nottingham Forest to become their new head coach, though other candidates, including former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini, remain in consideration. Nottingham Forest also showed interest in Luciano Spalletti, but he is no longer an option. Pedro Martins was considered but will not take the role.

Following a 3-0 loss to Chelsea, Ange Postecoglou was dismissed just 18 minutes after the match. The decision on the new coach rests with owner Evangelos Marinakis, who seeks his third manager of the season, recognizing the critical need for stability and confidence within the team and its supporters.

Dyche is viewed as the ideal candidate to bring order and motivation, with the aim of maintaining the club's Premier League status and maximizing the over £180 million investment made in the transfer window. This investment had been a point of tension between Marinakis and Postecoglou.
