Cristiano Ronaldo is on the verge of reaching an unprecedented milestone of 1,000 career goals. The Portuguese superstar recently became the top scorer in World Cup qualifying history, surpassing Guatemala's Carlos Ruiz with 41 goals in 51 matches after scoring twice in a 2-2 draw against Hungary. Ronaldo has a total of 948 career goals, including 143 for Portugal and 805 at club level. Despite being 40 years old, he continues to excel, especially in Saudi Arabia, where he has scored 104 goals in 117 matches for Al-Nassr. If he maintains his current scoring rate, Ronaldo is expected to reach 1,000 goals by October 2026.
