Scotland's assistant coach, Steven Naismith, expressed confidence in the team's strong momentum ahead of crucial World Cup qualifiers against Greece and Belarus. Under Steve Clarke's leadership, Scotland began their campaign with a goalless draw against Denmark and a 2-0 victory over Belarus in Hungary. They will face Greece on Thursday at Hampden Park, followed by a home match against Belarus on Sunday.

Naismith highlighted the team's strong form and praised players like Aaron Hickey, who is returning after a challenging period, as well as leaders John McGinn and Andy Robertson. However, Scotland faces goalkeeper issues, with only Liam Kelly from Rangers having current season experience. Craig Gordon is back from injury, and Angus Gunn is yet to debut for Nottingham Forest.

Greece started their qualifiers with a 3-0 loss to Denmark, but Naismith believes Scotland is better prepared for the upcoming match than in previous encounters with the Greeks. Despite challenges, the team's cohesion and confidence could be crucial in their quest for their first World Cup appearance since 1998.
