Hearts saw their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership cut to six points after a 2-2 draw against St Mirren in Paisley. The hosts took the lead twice with goals from Dan Nlundulu and Miguel Freckleton, but Hearts managed to equalize through strikes from Lawrence Shankland and Claudio Braga. VAR disallowed a second goal from Freckleton, as well as a late effort from Hearts' Pierre Landry Kabore. This marks only the second time Derek McInnes' side has dropped points in the league, while for St Mirren, the draw ends a run of three consecutive defeats ahead of their Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Motherwell on Saturday.

St Mirren made two changes to their lineup following their loss to Dundee United, with Richard King replacing the suspended Alex Gogic, and Mikael Mandron taking Jonah Ayunga's spot in attack. Meanwhile, Hearts fielded an unchanged lineup for the sixth consecutive match—a feat not seen at the Tynecastle club in nearly 40 years.

The match began cautiously, with Hearts creating the first real threat through Braga, only for Shamal George to make the save. St Mirren responded with a shot from Declan John from a tight angle, which Alexander Schwolow deflected for a corner. In the 28th minute, the hosts took the lead with an impressive goal from Nlundulu following a set-up by George, but Shankland soon equalized after a mistake by Keanu Baccus.

In the second half, St Mirren took the lead again through Freckleton, but the goal was ruled out by VAR. Hearts leveled the score thanks to a goal from Braga after Kiziridis' shot hit the post.

Although Hearts came close to securing a win, a late goal was disallowed for offside.

Analysis: Despite showing resilience, Hearts' draw highlights the need for improvement if they are to maintain their top spot. St Mirren, on the other hand, displayed determination and the potential to challenge tough opponents, which could be crucial in their upcoming fixtures.
