Dani Roel has withdrawn from the race to become the new manager of Rangers, leaving Kevin Muscat as the leading candidate for the position. Despite impressing the club's management during discussions, Roel, who has previously managed Sheffield Wednesday and served as an assistant at RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich, and the German national team, decided not to proceed. Muscat, currently managing Shanghai Port in China, is in active talks with the Scottish club. If appointed but unable to leave his current role immediately, Rangers might consider an interim manager, with Neil McCann mentioned as a potential option. Other candidates, such as former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, have been linked to the role, but most have been ruled out. The club, seeking stability after dismissing their previous manager due to poor results, faces Dundee United next, with Steven Smith temporarily in charge.
