Carlton Morris netted his fifth goal of the season, securing a 1-0 victory for Derby against Queens Park Rangers. This marked his first goal in eight matches, but it was enough to hand Rangers their first away defeat since August. The visitors struggled to find their rhythm, frequently losing possession and rarely threatening Derby's goal. Their best chance came in the second half when Richard Conn failed to capitalize on a promising opportunity.

Derby started the match with intensity, taking the lead in the 11th minute. Max Johnston delivered a cross from the right, which Sondre Langas flicked on to Morris, who slotted it home. The hosts dominated the first half, and Morris nearly doubled the lead with a header that grazed the top of the net. Rangers' goalkeeper, Paul Nardi, was called into action in the 22nd minute to deny a strike from Ben Brereton Diaz.

In the second half, Derby maintained control, although Conn had a chance to equalize in the 61st minute, missing a close-range header. Derby also struck the woodwork twice in quick succession but failed to extend their lead. Their only concern was Johnston's injury in the 88th minute.

This victory marked Derby's first back-to-back wins of the season, highlighting their solid defensive play and control of the match. Despite Queens Park Rangers' efforts to challenge them, they couldn't break through Derby's well-organized defense.

From a sporting perspective, Derby displayed remarkable resilience and focus, earning a well-deserved win. If they maintain this level of performance, they could emerge as serious contenders in the league.
