England has announced its squad for the upcoming women's national team friendlies in October, but will be without Leah Williamson, Lauren James, and Lauren Hemp due to injuries. However, Lucy Bronze, who recently returned from a broken leg, is included in the lineup. New additions to the team are Arsenal defenders Katie Reid and Taylor Hinds, with Hinds switching allegiance from Jamaica to England. Manchester City prospect Grace Clinton is also called up and will be assessed at St. George's Park. England will face Brazil at Manchester's Etihad Stadium on October 25, followed by a match against Australia in Derby, marking their first games since winning Euro 2025. The squad includes 20 of the Euro 2025 champions. This announcement follows Millie Bright's retirement from international football, prompting coach Sarina Wiegman to highlight the opportunity for new talents like Reid and Hinds. Despite missing key players, England showcases depth and potential, crucial for the 2027 World Cup qualifiers.
